The annual Moorefields Spring Wildflower Hike is happening this year on Saturday April 1 at 10:00 a.m. at Moorefields. We will explore the ridges and bottomlands near Seven Mile Creek, one of Orange County’s most significant and undisturbed natural areas, with wildflower experts Milo Pyne and Laura Cotterman. Milo is a NC State-trained botanist, retired senior regional ecologist for NatureServe, and former president of the Eno River Association. Laura has an M.S. in plant ecology from NC State, has worked with the NC Plant Conservation Program and the NC Natural Heritage Program, and is one of the authors of Wildflowers of the Atlantic Southeast.
Registration is required and limited to 25 people.
